SHELBY - Mr. Richard Dixon Weaver, age 80 passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 23, 2016 at Peak Resources. He was the owner and operator of GP Speed O Print in Shelby for many years and was a family man who loved to do many things with his family, he loved gospel singing, watching wrestling, and eating out.
He was predeceased by his wife Leona Mae Wilson; his parents, the late Clement and Minnie Lee Weaver.
He was a member of Ross Grove Baptist Church and an avid reader of his Bible.
Left to cherish his memories are three children; Steve, Kevin and Todd Weaver; five granddaughters, Heather Rayfield, Hayle Scruggs (David), Chelsea Weaver, Savanah Weaver, and Chesley Hildabran; two grandsons: Caleb and Tyler Weaver; one great granddaugher, Madilyne Scruggs; four great grandsons, Zack Rayfield, Derek Scruggs, Luke Rayfield, and Dylan Scruggs; two brothers: Norman Weaver (Betty) of Gaffney SC, LB Weaver (Nellie) of Shelby; two sisters, Madge Edmondson of Shelby and Doris Henson (Lonnie) of Greenville SC
Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 26, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Ross Grove Baptist Church, 1225 Fallston Road Shelby NC with Rev. Marcus McGill officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
