Richard Eugene Griffin passed away at his home on December 17, 2018. Rick was born in Boiling Springs on June 30, 1956.
Rick was preceded in death by a brother Christopher Warren Griffin, father Frank Jacob Griffin, Jr., and stepfather Dr. E. Eugene Poston. Rick is survived by his biggest cheerleader and supporter, his beloved mother Nancy Anthony Poston of Boiling Springs, sister Angelia Griffin Goode (Steve) of Mooresboro, one son and three grandchildren, niece Amber Goode Proctor (Jon) of Shelby, nephew Andy Goode (Brandi) of Mooresboro, and four great nieces and nephews.
Rick was a 1974 graduate of Crest High School, and a member of Dover Baptist Church in Shelby. Rick enjoyed tinkering with electronics, and was especially proud of his work with several Heavy Metal bands in the late 70's and early 80's as a sound engineer.
Dr. Bulo Price will be officiating a Celebration of Life Service on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 2:00pm at Cleveland Funeral Services. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park. The family will be gathering at 3516 McKinney Road in Mooresboro.
