Richard Lee Newton, age 59, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2020 at his home.

He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Roy and Ollie Newton; maternal grandparents, Addie and Addie Dale Pack; sister, Donna Newton.

Richard leaves behind to cherish his memories his parents, Charles and Betty Newton; three sisters, Wanda Reese (Loney Dellinger), Deb Norman (Marcus Norman) and Brenda Jensen; numerous nieces and nephews; numerous great-nephews and great-nieces.

For most of his life he worked with Beam's Construction. He lived and loved racing. He was a wonderful son, brother and uncle. He will forever be in our hearts.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Community Baptist Church, 3306 Polkville Road, Shelby, NC 28150 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Scott Caldwell, Rev. Timmy Reynolds, and Rev. Robert Mote officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
