Richard Woodrow Addis, 76, passed away at his home in Shelby on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.

Born in Paterson, New Jersey on July 9, 1946, he was the son of the late Herbert Woodrow Addis and Lois Audrey McCarver Addis. Richard will be remembered for his love for sports, golf and most of all, his love for family.

Richard is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jane Weathers Addis, his son Rick Addis and his wife Beth, as well as, Richard's granddaughters, Virginia, Elizabeth and Macy.

To honor Richard's wishes, the family will have a celebration of life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to Hospice of Cleveland County: 951 Wendover Heights Drive Shelby, NC 28150.
