On Wednesday, November 23, 2022, Ricky Dwayne Alexander, age 60, took the hand of Jesus, and entered his eternal home.

Born in Cleveland County on April 5, 1962, he was the son of the late Bonnie Hugh Wright and Sarah Self Alexander. Ricky loved his Lord and Pleasant City Church where he served as a greeter. He always had a friendly smile on his face as he greeted his church family each week. He was a loving husband and father and faithful friend to many. Ricky worked at Furnlite Inc for 17 years, and Clearwater Paper Corp until his health declined. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and spending time with his beloved dog, Sheba.

In addition to his parents, Ricky is preceded in death by sisters, Kay Clary, and her husband, C.B. Jr., Wanda Griffin and her husband, John; sisters-in-law, Diane Searcy Alexander, Diane Allen Alexander, and brother-in-law, Gene Mayhue.

Ricky is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Rhonda Alexander, their son, Tyler Alexander and his wife, Autum. Also left to cherish his memory are brothers. David Alexander and his wife, Lorraine, Thomas Alexander, and Jerry Alexander and a sister, Jane Mayhue.

To honor the life of Ricky Alexander a funeral service will be held at Pleasant City Church 2:00 PM Monday, November 28, 2022 officiated by Bryan Glisson and Gary Marburger. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow the service in the cemetery of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
