Ricky Lee Beaty, age 70 of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at his residence.

He is survived by his children, Cara Beaty Ervin (Tim) of Shelby, NC, Abby Beaty of Kings Mountain, NC, and Donald Humphries (Jodi) of Florida, grandchildren, TJ Ervin, Melia Ervin, Bryson Ervin, Ryan Oliver, Samantha Oliver, Daxton Beaty, Chelsie Pinkerton (David) and Alyson Humphries, a brother, Carl William Beaty Jr. (Linda) of Kings Mountain, NC, a sister, Nannette Turner (Wayne) of Grover, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born October 17, 1951 in Cleveland County, Ricky was the son of Sara Davis Beaty and the late Carl William Beaty Sr.

Ricky was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and son. He loved to fish, collecting antiques, and gardening. Ricky was an avid UNC fan. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially being with his mother. He was a big caregiver. He was the kind of person that would give you the shirt off his back if needed. Ricky always brought a smile to your face and will be dearly missed by those that knew and loved him.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Cleveland Funeral Services conducted by Rev. Lukie Pearson.
