Rita Jane Heavener Williams, 65, of E. Double Shoals Road, Lawndale, passed
away Friday, March 31, 2017 at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby.

Born in Cleveland County, on October 4, 1951, to the late J.W. Heavener and
Martha Louise Truelove Heavener. She was retired from Cleveland Regional
Medical Center as a registered nurse. Rita was a former member of the NC
Association of Post Anesthesia Nurses.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Dickie
Joe Heavener.

Rita is survived by her husband of 46 years, David Harlan Williams; two
daughters, Katrina Cogdell of Blacksburg, SC and Brooke Notarianni and
husband, Joseph of Greer, SC; four grandchildren, Muriel Cogdell, Chad
"C.J." Cogdell, Giovanni Notarianni and Madison Notarianni; a sister, Debbie
Lee of Cliffside; a nephew, Dwayne Dixon of Lincolnton and a brother, James
Ray Heavener of Cliffside

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday at Stamey-Tysinger
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jackie Price officiating.

Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston.
