Robert "Dale" Bailey, 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 06, 2025 while surrounded by his loving and devoted family at his home.

He was born to the late Frank Bailey and Mary Eaglin Bailey. He is also predeceased by his spouse, Doris J. Bailey; sisters, Juanita Bailey Johnson and Frances Bailey Magee; brother, Frank Bailey.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, David Dale Bailey (Heather) and Robert Bailey, Jr. (Connie); daughters, Julie Reed and Betty Myers; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dale served his country in the United States Navy for four years and Navy Reserve for 2 years aboard the USS Orion (AS-18), an as shore patrol with Norfolk VA, he was discharged as MR3. Dale served as a Firefighter for Warren Township Fire Department, IN and Swannanoa Fire Department, NC. He served as a Deputy Sheriff for Marion County, IN, EMT-D for Buncombe County, NC and had many careers in Private Investigating.(PI) along side the FBI and then later on owning and operating Bailey Security Agency Inc. He was also a Tool and Die Machinist. He was a member of the Moose Lodge for ,many years. He was a coach for Little League Baseball, as well as, a Den Leader in Boy Scouts of America.

He enjoyed anything to do with War Movies, shows and memorabilia. He also collected Betty Boop stuff and ships. One of his favorite things to watch was MASH and Jeff Dunham. He was a real-life Walter.

The family would like to give a special "Thank You" to Bryan Homesley and the Community Paramedic Team.
