Robert Lee "Plumber" Harris, Sr., 70, of 410 Limestone Springs Road, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 18, 2023 at his residence.

Born in Gaffney, he was first married to the late Robin Harris, the husband of Carolyn Hughes Harris, and son of the late James Harris and Estelle McSwain Harris. He retired from Kings Mountain Hospital and was a member of Pacolet Road Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday School Director. He loved his family, his fur-babies, and enjoyed playing Santa Claus during the Christmas holiday season.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Robert Harris, Jr. of Gaffney; a daughter, Leslie Harris Heath (Mike) of Shelby, NC; a stepdaughter, Kimberly Martin (Jeremie) of Gaffney; four brothers, Wilbur Carroll of Texas, John Williams of Montana, Eddie Burgess of Spartanburg and Stacy Carroll of Florida; five sisters, Shirley Tibets of Cayman Islands, Lucille Thomas of Florida, Patsy Vickery of Enoree, Sally Kimbrell of Kings Mountain and Jamie Weaver of Georgia; a grandson, Steven Johnson, Jr. (Mikaila) of Kings Mountain; two step-grandchildren, Bella Martin and Destiny Martin; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Bradshaw and a brother, Sammy Blanton.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bryon Inman, Pastor Jimmy Powell and Pastor Mickey Mullinax officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
