Robert Lee Wright, 85, of Ross Drive, Fallston, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Atrium Health - Cleveland, Shelby.

Born in Rutherford County, on May 11, 1938, he was a son of the late Frank Wright and Mildred McCurry Wright. He was retired from PPG in maintenance. Robert was an avid hunter, fisherman, and strong Atlanta Braves fan.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a grandson, Robby; a great-grandson, Isaac; and three brothers, Herman Wright, Charles Wright and a infant brother, Ray.

He is survived by his life companion and caregiver Teressa Knight; son, Barry Wright and wife Tracy and their sons, Garrett and Hunter; daughters, Susan Johnson and husband Greg and their children, Summer, Lucas, Olivia, and Laylyn; Patti Ward and David and son, Lucas, Jaime Hipps and husband Bobby and their sons, Layne, Austin, and Mason, Nikki Trammell and Donovan and sons Loghan and Carter, DJ Trammell and wife Allie and their daughters Alianna, Keeleigh and Ava; very special bonus sons, Aaron Boggs, Dallas Keller and Marcus Lineberger; brother, Earl Wright; two sisters, Sarah Margaret Wood and Linda Wise, and his favorite pal Riley.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronald Roberts officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Rose Hill Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to the Abuse Prevention Council of Cleveland County.
