Robert Norman Camp, Sr., age 81, passed away October 5, 2022 at his home, surrounded by family.

Born in Cleveland County on December 12, 1940, he was the son of the late John Madison Camp and Edna Alberta Shields Camp. In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his siblings, Savannah Phillips, Nathan Camp, Ruth Melton, Mary Grayson, Anna Martin, Lula Belle Camp, Thelma Camp, Sam Camp, Emmett Camp, Billy Camp, Edwin Camp, Jerry Camp and Tom Camp.

Robert is survived by his wife of 34 years, Judy Doby Camp, his son, Rob Camp wife Lori and their children Liam and Caitriona, his step daughters, Julie Downing husband Ken and Tiffany Spencer, as well as his siblings, Polly Bridges, Charles Camp and wife Sue, Jane Bridges, Brendan LeGrand husband Bryan, and sister-in-law Mariel Camp. Also left to cherish his memory, his step-grandchildren, Hannah Ridings husband LuJak and their two children Ava and Boone, Samuel Goforth, Meredith Goforth and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to Dr. Thompson, the Nurse Practitioners and wonderful Nurses that cared for Robert the past twelve years. Also a special thanks to Hospice Nurses Tessa McDougal and Shannon McCloskey for their exceptional care and support.

A celebration of life service will be held 2:00PM Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Craig Senter officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
