Robert "Theodore" McClure

Robert "Theodore" McClure, 78, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on April 02, 2024 at Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas, NC.

Theodore was born in Gaston County, NC, son of the late William Thomas and Ethel Froneberger McClure and was also preceded in death by his siblings, William McClure, Betty Campbell, Marshall McClure, and George McClure. Theodore served his country honorably as a member of the U.S. Army and worked for many years as a handyman in his local community, specializing in small engines, lawn equipment, VCRs, and TVs. Along with his family, he had a love for vegetable gardening and canning. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races and was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan. Theodore was strong in his Christian faith and was a longtime member of Bethany ARP Church in Clover, SC. He was an encourager and a giving spirit--he never let you leave his house without offering to send you home with something. He often checked in with his pastor to update his prayer list and was always in prayer for those on it. He was a dedicated caregiver to his mother. Theodore was a man who genuinely loved his family and spending time with them. He cherished his parents, siblings, in-laws, and nieces and nephews; he will be missed by all who knew him.

SURVIVORS: Sister Jane Reagan and husband, Butch, of Kings Mountain, NC and sister-in-law Doris McClure of Gastonia, NC.

Theodore is additionally survived by numerous nieces and nephews, his treasured Crowders Creek Community, and his faithful healthcare providers.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, April 6th, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. at Bethany ARP Church of Clover, SC with Rev. Dr. Benjamin Glaser officiating.

VISITATION: Saturday, April 6th, 2024 prior to the service at Bethany ARP Church of Clover, SC from 2:00 P.M. to 2:50 P.M.

INTERMENT: Bethany ARP Church Cemetery, Clover, SC
