Robert William Ivey, 80, of Grover, NC, passed away on September 8, 2025 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC. Born October 6, 1944 in York, SC, he was the son of the late William and Shelby Goodson Ivey, and was also preceded in death by his companion of 36 years, Thelma Bullock Burton, daughter Brenda Faye Short, brother Kenny Ivey, and sister Anne Montgomery. Robert was a simple man with a heart of gold. He enjoyed watching wrestling and westerns, and especially loved spending time being "Pops" to his beloved grandchildren. Folks who knew Robert loved him and will carry in their hearts memories of a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

SURVIVORS: Daughters: Joy Mosley (Terry) of Grover, Wendy Grigg, and Elaine Diodato (Rico), all of Kings Mountain, NC
Sisters: Blanche Doster (Jim) of Clover, SC and Brenda Simpson (Leo) of Farmville, NC
Grandchildren: Ashley Michael, Sabrina Burton, Krista Morton, Bambi Short, Jordan Clemons, Mason Clemons, Caleb Deal, and Christian Adams
Robert is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Friday, September 12, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Mountain Rest Cemetery with Mr. Caleb Deal officiating

VISITATION: Friday, September 12, 2025, prior to the service from 1:00 to 1:30 P.M. in the Parlor of Harris Funeral Home

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
