Rodeo Polkville June 15-16
Todd Pierce is with Riding High Ministries and is the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) pastor. Todd breaks a horse as a gospel message illustration. He will be in Mintz Arena at Polkville Baptist Church on Sunday, June 17 at 10:00 am, with his presentation.
  The 13th annual Rodeo Polkville will be held in Mintz Arena at Polkville Baptist Church this Friday and Saturday, June 15th and 16th. This annual event is sponsored in part by Shelby Shopper & Info along with a host of other sponsors to make Rodeo Polkville possible. The purpose of this one of a kind rodeo is to raise funds for mission ventures at home and abroad by being obedient to Jesus’ command to spread the gospel to all nations. Rodeo Polkville offers a family atmosphere with eight action packed events along with other surprises such as a Bubble Gum Drop and a Greased Pig Chase for the kids, in addition to the hilarious Ladies Calf Dressing competition. Gates open at 6:00 pm with festivities which include, an ultralight airplane fly over, rock climb, mechanical bull, carnival food, vendors and Polkville Baptists’ signature assortment of Rodeo food. Also, Country and Western singer Joni Harms will be performing each night at 6:30 with the rodeo beginning at 8:00 nightly. On Friday night WBTV 3 will be filming a story to be aired on Carolina Camera, and on Saturday night Professional Bull Rider (PBR) superstar J.B. Mauney returns to Mintz Arena where he will once again sign autographs for the fans. Advance tickets are on sale at participating stores which are $10.00 for adults (ages 12 and older). Gate admission is $12.00 for adults and children are FREE (ages 11 and under).
   On Sunday, June 17 from 8:00 am - 10:00 am will be a free pancake breakfast in Mintz Arena at Polkville Baptist Church and at 10:00 am PBR pastor Todd Pierce will present “Born Wild...Created To Be Free,” a wild horse illustrated gospel message.
