Roger Dale Craig, 65, of Shelby, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at home.

Born in Cleveland County on October 21, 1956, he was a son of the late Willard Ervin Craig and Lona Mae Owens Craig. He was a self employed painter and was a member of Wallace Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ricky Ervin Craig and one sister, Linda Lou Pendleton.

Survivors include his girlfriend, Sunday Gantt; former wife, Frances Jane Mellon Craig; one son, Thomas Dale Craig of Belmont; one daughter, Tonya Marie Black of Shelby; two stepchildren, Billy Eric Buff of Cherryville and Ashley Brittain of Lincolnton; two sisters, Cathy Lee McSwain of Shelby and Darlene Hyder of Shelby and two grandchildren, Cameron Marie Black of Charlotte and Leona Watson of Lincolnton.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at 1:00PM to 2:00PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home .

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 2:00PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Mellon officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Wallace Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
