Roger Jackson Ledford, 85 of E. Stagecoach Trail, Lawndale passed away,

Monday, April 16, 2018 at Carolinas Healthcare System-Cleveland.

Born May 15, 1932 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Columbus

Mills Ledford and Minnie Mae Swink Ledford. He was retired from Burns and

Spangler Construction, Inc and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. He

also had worked as an aircraft mechanic for Eastern Airlines and most

recently Cleveland County Recycling Center in Lawndale. Mr. Ledford served

in the Airforce during the Korean Conflict where he was stationed at Eglin

Airforce Base in Florida and was a member of Fallston American Legion Post #

527.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Ruth

Jones Ledford; son, Michael Ledford and a brother, Walter Ledford.

Survivors include his daughter, Debbie McKee and husband, Dennis of

Lawndale; daughter-in-law, Cindy Ledford of Shelby; two brothers, Andy

Ledford of Lawndale and Arthur Ledford of Lawndale; a sister, Gladys Self of

Lawndale; three grandchildren, Shane McKee and wife, Mindy of Lawndale,

Carrie Thompson and husband, Sam of Boone and Jessica Kaylor and husband,

Robert of Shelby; and three great-grandchildren, Carson McKee,Parker Kaylor

and Saban Kaylor.

Visitation will be 2:00PM until 3:00PM Thursday at New Bethel Baptist Church

A funeral service will be 3:00PM Thursday at New Bethel Baptist Church with

Revs. Tim Elmore and Jason Allen officiating.

Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston
