Roger Shamone Thompson

In loving memory of Roger Shamone Thompson. Born April 5, 1972 Departed April 8, 2020

Words of Comfort

Worlds greatest Son and Dad, may you rest in peace.

Son I miss you. Death leaves a heartache. Difficult to heal. Love leaves sweet memories, no one can steal. You may be out of my sight, but you will never be out of my mind. Until we meet again, I will forever love you.

Roger Shamone Thompson was born in Brooklyn, NY. on April 5, 1972 to his surviving mother, Carol Harrington and deceased father James Harrington.

Roger graduated from Murray Bergman High School in N.Y. He also did a year at N.Y.U. college. Then he went on to pursue his career, patrol officer for MTA Bridges & Tunnel. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, celebrating birthdays & holidays. He also enjoyed going to amusement parks, backyard barbecues and also enjoyed the casinos, fishing, watching boxing, basketball and tennis games on TV with family and friends.

On the evening of April 8th, 2020, the Lord took Roger home to his final resting place. Leaving to mourn his memory are his mother Carol, his brother Calvin, sisters, Shawana and Nija. Also, his children, Darrius, Savannah and Ryan, three aunts and four uncles. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was extremely close to his cousin, Gerard, who misses him daily.

Roger's two favorite songs were "Only the strong survive" by Jerry Butler, and "Keep on Pushing" by Curtis Mayfield & The Impressions.

Something we all have to do is always think positive. Negativity should be avoided. Remember, the good times we all shared with Roger. We all love and miss you. R.I.P. Roger.
