Ronald Joe Bolin

Ronald Joe Bolin, age 74, passed away June 21, 2021 at his home in Shelby.

Born October 2, 1946, he was the son of the late Joe and Pauline Bolin. After graduation from Number 3 High School, he was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict and served his country proudly. After his service, Ronnie worked for Fiber Industries (Kosa) in Grover for 35 years. Upon his retirement, he re-established his passion for fishing and created Bolin's Carp Lakes in Shelby. Ronnie loved his family most of all and kept a special place in his heart for his grandsons and great-grandsons.

In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by a daughter Trudi Bolin Biggerstaff.

Ronnie is survived by his wife of 52 years Becky Porter Bolin, sister Janice Phifer (Don), two grandsons Dylan Biggerstaff (Jessica) and Dalton Biggerstaff. Two great grandsons Adam and Holden Biggerstaff. In addition, Ronnie is survived by his sisters-in-laws, Barbara Troutman (Fred), Dorothy Costner, Mary Sanders (Albert), and Wanda Porter, brother-in-law Michael Porter (Louise) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service with full military honors was held 5:00pm, Thursday June 24, 2021 at Cleveland Memorial Park with the Rev. Allen Davis officiating.

Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family of Mr. Bolin.
