Ronald Kevin Rowell

Ronald Kevin Rowell, 56 of Kings Mountain, N.C. passed away on March 19, 2020 at Testa Hospice House in Kings Mountain, N.C. He was born in Dade County, Miami Beach Florida, to the late James Winford Rowell and Peggy Rippy Rowell. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Dan Rowell. Ron began his career as an electrician for the City of Kings Mountain. He worked many construction jobs in Kings Mountain and Oak Island, N.C. area's. He layed brick and tile, worked at plumbing and roofing. He was a handyman, a jack of all trades. We liked to say he could build a house from the ground up, by himself if he had to, because he was Ron Rowell, he could do anything. Ron enjoyed cooking his entire life and often checked with his sister Eve for his Mom's recipes. Ron made the best pecan pies, brownies and Spaghetti bake ever! He especially enjoyed cooking and baking for others. He made special deliveries to his neighbors and great nieces, Taylor and McKenna, whenever he could. Another recent hobby was playing WII video games with lifelong friend Chris, who declared Ron the 2019 WII Bowling Champion. Ron loved animals and took special care of Chris's dog "Luke", Kim and David's dog "Sadie" and cat "Starr" and Eve and John's dog "Peanut". In recent years Ron enjoyed planting herbs, vegetables and fruits in the Resurrection Community Garden with cousin Kim. Ron was a bacon eating, RC drinking sweet heart of a guy! Ron had a heart of gold. He spent his life helping others. He would have done anything to help anyone. Being useful and helping others made him happy.
