Ronald "Ronnie" Self, 79, passed away Thursday November 25, 2021. A native of Cleveland County, he was born to the late Coleman and Laura Mae Borders Self. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Delette White-Self.

Ronnie owned Self Scale Service for 27 years. He served with the US Army in Korea, was a 42 year Master Mason and member of Cleveland Masonic Lodge 202 A.F.& A.M. of Shelby. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved his dogs and horses but most of all his family especially the grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons Barry Self and wife Heather of Shelby, Ronald Self of Boiling Springs, sister Donna Kay Reynolds and husband Richard of Shelby, grandsons Coleman and Jackson Self, niece Tracy R. Montgomery and husband Andy of Shelby and good friend Gail Morgan of Waco.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Monday November 29, 2021 at Elizabeth Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. Rit Varriale and Eddie Greene, officiating. There will be full military rites as well as Masonic rites at the graveside. The family will receive friends after the service.
