Ronnie “Moe” Gingles
 Mr. Ronnie “Moe” Gingles, 51, of 811 W. Sumter St. Shelby, NC departed this life on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Wendover Hospice in Shelby.  He ws born on April 9, 1961 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Elvie Gingles and Curtis Wray. 

Ronnie was a 1980 graduate of Shelby High School.  After graduation, he served his country in the U.S. States Army.  Ronnie was a member of Hopper’s Chapel Baptist Church and worked as a volunteer counselor with the Exodus House in Hickory until his health declined.

He is survived by a daughter, Ashanti Gingles of Greensboro, NC; LaDricus of Kings Mountain, NC; five brothers, Lewis Gingles (Anita) of Grover, NC, Jerry Gingles (Marcella) of Shelby, Gregory Gingles (Mary) of Campbella, SC, Charles Gingles of Wilmington, NC and Tony Gingles of Shelby; one half brother, Curtis Wray; half-sisters, Shirley Shippy (Issac), Linda Smarr, Mary Smarr all of Shelby, Sandy Dillard (David) of Gaffney, SC and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Hopper’s Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Coleman officiating.  Burial will take place at Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:00 PM on Thursday and at other times at the home of his brothers Lewis Gingles of 930 Long Branch Rd. Grover, NC and Jerry Gingles of 1331 Concord St. in Shelby.  Condolences can be expressed online at www.enloes.net.  Enloe Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
