Rosa Lee Swink Short, 73, of Shelby, went to her heavenly home on Monday, February 22, 2021.
Born in Cleveland County, on April 25, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Daisy Swink Hefner.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years Clyde Short, her mother Daisy, brother Earl, and sister Nancy.
Her biggest pride and joy was her family.

She is survived by her loving children Tommy Swink and wife Sarah of Tennessee, Jimmy Short and wife Angie of Hickory, Joe Short and wife Tammy and dog Little Man of Polkville, Wanda Sigmon and husband Ned of Lawndale, and Donna Short of Belwood. Grandchildren, Ashley Lewis and husband Tony of Polkville, Kayley Jones and husband Dillon of Lawndale, Jennifer Short of Polkville, and Matthew Sigmon and Brooklyn of Casar, Cody and Abigail Short of Hickory, Tj and Kaitlyn Swink of Tennessee and Sarah Saldana of Florida. She had 10 great grandchildren that she loved dearly.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, Wednesday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home and at other times the family will gather at the home of Kayley Jones at 328 East Main St, Lawndale NC 28090.
A funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Thursday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Castle officiating.
The burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks and social distancing will be required.
