Rosalind Elizabeth Eaves Wilson, 83, transitioned to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at her residence.

She was born on August 8, 1941, in Cleveland County to the late Henry Eaves and Evelyna Gaffney Eaves.

Mrs. Wilson was a member of the City of God Family Worship Center. She was employed as a head cook for many years at Gardner Webb University; the former Vox Hall before her retirement; and for her family. Her home and heart were always open with "pots on the stove" even up until this past Thanksgiving. She absolutely loved to cook, yet, even more she loved to see her family eat!

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Dixon Wilson; daughter, Jewel Elizabeth Eaves; three sisters, 'Teen', 'Mae', and 'Dianne'; and five brothers, 'Everett', 'Heavy', 'Jimmy', 'Alan', and 'Crow'.

She leaves to cherish her memory grandson and known as her son, Gary Hopper (LaToya) of Kings Mountain, NC; five great grandchildren, Tia Patterson, Kahlil Hopper, Shaqela Patterson; Tatiyana Hopper, Nehemiah Hopper; a sister, Shirley Eaves; a brother, Tommy Eaves; eleven great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; and "special girl" and niece, Delores Hartgrove; whom she all loved dearly.

Funeral services be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at City of God Family Worship Center, 610 Charles Road, Shelby, NC at 1:00 p.m.
