Roy Dean Hamrick, 68, of Peyton Place Rd., Shelby, passed away Wednesday
December 12, 2018 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Born December 31, 1949 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Sidney
Everette Hamrick and Irene Wortman Hamrick. He was retired from Kosa and was
a member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter,
Annette Hamrick; two brothers, Charles Hamrick and Jerry Hamrick; one
sister, Doris Hamrick.

Survivors include his wife of forty three years, Barbara Norwood Hamrick;
son and daughter-in-law, Marshall and Joni Hamrick of Ellenboro; daughter,
Jennifer Hamrick of Polkville; two brothers, James Hamrick and wife
Catherine of Gaffney, SC and Boyd and Micki Hamrick of Shelby; three
grandchildren, Corbett Hamrick, Lily Hamrick and Annie Hamrick; numerous
nieces and nephews; special friends, Karen and Al Garbarino; grandkitty,
Monkey.

The visitaion will be 4:00PM until 6:00PM Saturday, December 15, 2018 at
Stamey Tysinger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be 3:00PM Sunday at Rehobeth United Methodist
Church with Rev. Randi Godfrey and Rev. Ernie Holland officiating. The body
will be placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
