Roy Junior Hastings, 92, of Casar, passed away Saturday February 10, 2018 at
home.

Born March 31, 1925 in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Luther
Richard Hastings and Delzie Green Hastings. He was a retired truck driver
for the NC Department of Transportation in Lincoln County and was a member
of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. He also served in the US Navy during World
War II.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife,
Adell Buff Hastings, second wife, Carolyn Jean Hoyle Brendle Hastings, and
five sisters, Mildred Ward, Elizabeth Melton, Ruby Hastings, Lucy Hudson,
and Goldie Jones.

Survivors include two sisters, Lola Cook of Casar, Blanche Poole of Valdese,
caregiver & brother-in-law, Roy Lee Buff and wife, Nina of Casar.

The visitation will be on Saturday from 1:00 Pm to 2:00 PM at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston.

The funeral service will be on Saturday at 2:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger
Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Curtis Carroll officiating.

Burial will follow in the St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery with military
graveside rites.
