Roy Lee Ramsey, age 78, of Forest City, NC, died Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
Roy was born June 6, 1940 in Rutherford County to the late Thomas Lee Ramsey and Idella Wood Ramsey. He worked for PPG Industries for thirty-eight years before retirement and was a member of Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Ramsey; five sisters and one brother.
Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, Pamela Gowan of Rutherfordton and Traci Simmons and husband, Joe of Forest City; two sisters, Lois Payne of Mooresboro and Annie Lou Hodge of Forest City. He is also survived by four grandchildren; Josh Tran, Keenan Ramsey, Onterra Neal, Jonisha Logan and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church with Reverend Leon Brown and Reverend Chad Sisk officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
