SHELBY- Ruby Dover Jenkins, 90, died Mon., Nov. 21, 2016, at Peak Resources of Cherryville. She was born in York Co., SC, to the late Robert and Daisy Mullinax Dover. She owned and operated KaraSu for 40 years, where she was a beautician, and loved her customers. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Wesley Sunday School Class and the Women's Alter Guild.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Joel "Joey" Mark Jenkins; brothers, Jesse, Floyd and James Dover; sisters, Perline Rollins and Ella Huskey.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her husband of 68 ½ years, Cecil Jenkins, of the home; daughters, Susan Dockery and husband Sonny of Easley, SC and Karen McColgan and husband Mark of Austin, TX.; grandchildren, Robin Dockery, John Dockery and wife Kristi, Catherine Dockery, Andrew Dockery and wife Megan, Jonathan, Patrick and Joseph McColgan; great grandchildren, Ava, Lennon and Ali Dockery; and special friend Frankie Paterson of Shelby.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00pm, Friday, at the funeral home.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Friday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel of Shelby.

OFFICIATING: Rev. Danny Leonard and Rev. Len Byers

BURIAL: Sunset Cemetery immediately following the service.
