Ruby Edna Gettys Ledford, 84, of 401 N. Morgan Street, Shelby, passed away
Tuesday May 12, 2015 at Kings Mountain Hospice House.

Born February 18, 1931 in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the
late Zacharias Gettys and Bertie Alice Smith Gettys. She was retired from
White Oak Manor as a CNA and was a member of Piney Mountain Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William
Raymond Ledford, two daughters- in - law, Rhonda Faye Ledford & Debaroh Kay
Ledford, two brothers, and two sisters.

Survivors include three sons, Roger Ledford and wife Cindy of Shelby, John
Ledford and wife Rita of Vale, and Dennis Ledford of Patterson Springs,
three daughters, Berdie Tesseneer and husband Rick of Shelby, Sue Wease and
husband Benny of Lawndale, and Kathy Mellon of Shelby; two brothers, Zach
Gettys of Bostic and Roy Gettys of Spindale; two sisters, Christine Self of
Henrietta and Hattie Terry of Ellenboro; 17 grandchildren; 3 step-
grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM Thursday at Stamey-
Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Fallston. Condolences may be made

The funeral service will be at 2:30 PM, Thursday, at Stamey - Tysinger
Funeral Home & Cremation Center Chapel, Fallston with Rev. Tony Rayfeild,
Sr. and Terry Huffman Officiaing.

The burial will follow in the Piney Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery,
Ellenboro.
