Ruby Mae Boyette Kemp

Ruby Mae Boyette Kemp, 89 entered into Eternal Rest and went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Kings Mountain Hospital.  Born on May 21, 1923 in Middle Sex, NC, she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Iva Joyner Boyette.  She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Worth B. Kemp, Sr. and her 17 siblings.  Ruby was a loving and hard working woman.  Everyone that met her loved her and will remember her as one of the most honest women ever known.

 

Ruby is survived by three children, daughter, Kay Peek and husband Jeff of the home, daughter, Cathy Mathews and husband Barry of Houston, TX, and son, Worth Kemp, Jr. of Zebulon, NC; two grandchildren, Shannon Curtis of Mooresboro, NC and Jennifer Wallace and husband Robert of Austin, TX; five loving great grandchildren, Sara Wallace of Austin Texas, Zackary, Shyanne and Gracie Curtis of Mooresboro and Makensea Carver of the home; special friends, Sharon Howell of Shelby, Jerry and Sandra Richardson of Zebulon, NC, Amy Rudisill of Shelby.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to Amber Clemmer for all her help and devotion.

 

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:00pm on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Cecil M Burton Funeral Home and Crematory.
