Mike Plank, President of Number Three Ruritan Club, presented Lauren Scism, a recent graduate of Crest High School, with a $500 scholarship during the July 11, 2016 meeting. Lauren is a freshman at Western Carolina University and is excited about attending college.
Rev. Roy Byers, member of Number Three Ruritan Club and pastor of Sulphur Springs Methodist Church, presented Maddie England, a recent graduate of Crest High School, with a $500 scholarship during the Awards Day service at Gardner Webb University on July 11, 2016. Maddie will be entering the University of Georgia in the fall of this year.
Number Three Ruritan Club meets on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at Showmars of Shelby and invites new members.
