Ruth Bridges Ledbetter, age 74, of McCrow Road, Henrietta, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.
Born March 7, 1943 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Russell Lee Bridges and Grace Carmen Goode Bridges. She was a graduate of Tri-High School and a member of High Shoal Baptist Church. Ruth worked at various plastic manufacturing plants and for PPG for many years. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch and visiting with her friends and family. Ruth was known for her acceptance of others, her sweet smile and calm spirit. She also enjoyed having a cold beverage every day.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Jill Goode and son, Mitch Bridges; two brothers, Henry and Joe Goode and a sister, Kathy Goode.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Russell Lee "Rusty" Bridges and Michael Shane Bridges both of Henrietta; three sisters, Nancy Goode of Stanley, NC, Glenda Goode of Mobile, Alabama and Regina Phillips of Charlotte; one brother, "Sackie" Goode of Forest City. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Kristen Deaton Pearson, Jamie Deaton Melton, Shanna Leigh Bridges and six great-grandchildren.
In honor of the family's wishes, no formal services will be conducted.
Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
