Ruth Elizabeth Hendrick Rollins age 91 died Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Testa Family Hospice House in Kings Mountain. Born in Cleveland County on October 25, 1923 she was the daughter of the late James Osborne and Callie Mae Morris Hendrick. Ruth was a lifelong member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for over 88 years. She was a devoted Sunday School teacher for 65 years and sang in the choir. She worked for J. P. Stevens and Spectrum. Ruth loved all children, crafts, sewing, decorating, gardening, working in flowers and was famous for her mints. In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Rollins; a sister, Virginia Adams; and a brother, James Hendrick.

Ruth is survived by a son, Larry Rollins and wife Janie of Rock Hill SC.; a daughter, Kay Grigg and husband Joel of Shelby; four grandchildren, Suzann Scharder and husband Rick of Rock Hill, Jonathan Rollins and wife Jessica of Rock Hill, Daniel Rollins and wife Megan of Ft. Mill and Amy Grigg of Shelby; and nine great grandchildren, Hollis, James, Hudson, Harrison, Jack, Ava, Max, Gus, and Ellie.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday September 9, 2015 at 4:00 pm at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, with Dr. Danny West officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the sanctuary.
