Ruth Etter Proctor Lytle, 85, of Lawndale, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022 at Carolinas Medical Center - Main, Charlotte.

Born in Cleveland County, on December 18, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Franklin Proctor and Florence White Proctor. She was retired from Shadowline and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Casar.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband, John Darriel Angel and second husband, Bobby Ronald Lytle; three brothers, Andrew Proctor, Samuel Proctor, Jr and Boyd Proctor and a sister, Marie Hoyle.

She is survived by her son, Rev. Ronald Joe Lytle of Lawndale; three daughters, Mary "Libby" Angel Tallent and husband, Ricky of Lawndale, Debbie Angel Hoyle and husband, Wayne of Waco, and Cindy Angel Newton and husband, Mark of Casar; two brothers, George Truett of Shelby, and Howard Truman of Casar; two sisters, Lillie Hamrick of Lawndale, and Linda Spencer of Lincolnton; eight grandchildren and two great grandsons.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 10, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Jamie Bridges officiating. Mrs. Lytle will lie in state thirty minutes before the service.

The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
