"SAFE KIDS” Clinic Held At K-Mart
At the K-Mart parking lot, a free”Safe Kids” Clinic was held this past Saturday, May 1st. It is a fact ,most parents and grandparents who transport babies and young children in their vehicles, do not have their child seats properly installed or placed. To assure complete safety when you have “precious cargo”, correct knowledge is very important. Shown here, Paul Creasman from Shelby Fire and Rescue and Shelby Police Officer Nikki McSwain prepare to instruct Nicole Kennedy on how to properly seat her six month old son, Paxton. If for some reason you were unable to attend the clinic, you may go to the Shelby Fire and Rescue location at 506 E. Grover St. , Shelby and get a brochure, or receive assistance from a member who will gladly demonstrate the proper way to install your child’s car seat. Be safe - not sorry! –M. A. Andrews
