Sandra Williams Edwards, age 71, of Mill Spring, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at her residence.
Born on Monday, January 29, 1945 in Landrum, SC, she was a daughter to the late Woodrow Williams and Lois Jones Williams. Sandra was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed attending gospel singings. She also enjoyed taking care of her chickens and cats and watching westerns. Sandra loved seeing the buffalo on nearby farms.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Crowder and her second husband, John Edwards; son, Timothy Robert Crowder; two sisters, Virtell Bridgeman and Sherry Tate; three brothers, Joseph Wayne Williams, Charles Michael Williams and Sam Williams.
Survivors include two daughters, Faye "Vickie" Williams and Anita Crowder McMillian both of Mill Spring; one son, Ricky Williams and wife, Kim also of Mill Spring; two brothers, Gary Williams and wife, Barbara of Chesnee, SC and Larry Williams of Roebuck, SC; five sisters, Lillian O'Sullivan of Inman, SC, Ellen Pruitt and husband, Ronnie of Fingerville, SC, Brenda Keller of Mill Spring, Lou Ellen Gilbert of Mill Spring and Wanda Breedlove and husband, Billy of Whitesville, NC. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Laura Laughter, Ricky Williams, Jr., Richard Williams, Matthew Martin (Sarah), Kayley Williams, Rick Williams (Alisha), Charlie Williams (Brooke), Kimberly Williams and Kaitlyn Williams; four great-grandchildren, Abagaile Martin, Isabelle Morrison, Zedekiah Morrison and Elzaleen Metcalf.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Ray McGallard officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
