Sandy Plains Ole Timey Barbecue
This year’s Sandy Plains Baptist Church “Ole Timey Pit Cooked” Barbecue was a huge success as they served over 5000 plates. The event began at 12 noon on Saturday, Sept. 10th and ran until 8 p.m. People came from all over to the New House Community to feast on the famous barbecue pork and chicken plates. If you decided to eat at the church pavilion, it was all you can eat. Their drive-up “to-go” order line was also a hit.
