Sara Catherine "Cat" Roberts Dorsey, age 97, died Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Peak Resources in Shelby. Born in Cleveland County on September 14, 1920 she was the daughter of the late James Eddins and Luna Mae Roberts. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church, where she was active in the Hoey Sunday School Class. Cat worked as a receptionist for Dr Robert L Wilson and Dr. Mike Alexander for 47 years until she retired. She enjoyed reading, walking, playing bridge and was a member of several bridge clubs through the years. In addition to her parents, Cat is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Warlick Dorsey; a sister, Edna Roberts Hord; and four brothers; Paul, Josh, James Eddins, Jr. and Fred.

Cat is survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday January 6, 2018 at Central United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Barden and Rev. Joe Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall. Burial will take place at Sunset Cemetery.
