Sarah Bonita "Bonnie" Ledbetter Wiggins

Sarah Bonita "Bonnie" Ledbetter Wiggins, age 88 died Sunday October 11, 2015 at her home. Born in Gaston County on May 10, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Floyd Cornelius and Fronie Mae Cook Ledbetter. She was a member of Redeemed Pentecostal Holiness Church. She retired from Doran Yarn after a number of years of service. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother and granny. She enjoyed having yard sales and she never met a stranger. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Andy Wiggins; two sons, Fred Wiggins and Larry Wiggins; and a daughter, Vickie Wiggins; four brothers, Paul Ledbetter, Hugh Ledbetter, Samps Ledbetter and Bud Ledbetter.

Bonnie is survived by a son, Raymond Wiggins and wife Geraldine of Shelby; a sister, Mildred Hicks of Lincolnton; two granddaughters, Cheryl Ramsey and husband Jeff of Shelby and Kasie Bridges and husband Phil of Shelby; great grandchildren, Jennifer Ramsey, Cole Ramsey, Ava Bridges, and Evan Bridges; her canine companion, "Pee Wee".; two special, faithful friends, Mary Mayhew and Katie Hutchinson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 14, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Coye Sanders and Rev. Bob Elwood officiating. Burial will follow at Elizabeth Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm.
