Blacksburg -- Sarah Elizabeth "Lib" Jones Bolton, 90, of 351 Cherokee Falls Rd, passed away Wednesday, August 8th, 2018, at her home.

Born in the Camps Creek Community, NC she was the widow of Charles Bolton and the daughter of the late Gilbert Jones and Nola Holt Jones. Known by many as "Maw Maw Lib," she exemplified what a great grandmother should be. In fact, she spent a big portion of her life serving as a caregiver for her mother, children, and then her grandchildren. She always had a smile on her face and kind words to say, regardless of how she felt. If any of her children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren had an event, Maw Maw Lib was always there to support them. She loved to garden and cook, and was always willing to share. Lib was a Christian for many, many years and was a proud supporter of her church, Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Maw Maw Lib was a sweet, kind, and caring person who's physical presence will be missed. However, we can all be comforted in knowing that she is still watching us all.

Surviving Mrs. Bolton are one son, Reggie Bolton and wife, Connie, of Blacksburg; one daughter, Libby Bolton Sarratt and husband, Mike, of Blacksburg; four grandchildren, Zac Bolton, Katie Gordon and husband, Matt, Nolan Sarratt and wife, Melissa, and Timothy Sarratt; three great-grandchildren, Paisleigh, Ava Grace, and Kaileb; a sister-in-law and life-long friend, Nell Jones; a brother-in-law, Don Bolton and wife, Modenia; a sister-in-law, Jewell Parker; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Lib was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill, and wife, Mildred "Mutt" Jones and Wayne Jones, and a brother-in-law, Gene Bolton and wife, Nancy.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 10th, 2018, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 11th, 2018, at 3:00 pm at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Norman Philbeck, Rev. Richard Brown, and Mr. Jason Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Ronnie "Booger" Upchurch, Steve Broome, David Phillips, David Stevens, Michael Bolton, Roger Eaker, Scott Upchurch, and Jerry "Rooster" Patterson will serve as pallbearers. Pleasant Hill Baptist Church is handicap accessible with elevators available.

Lib's family wants to thank Spartanburg Regional Hospice, other family members, friends, and her church for the many calls, visits, meals, and loving support given to their entire family during Lib's illness.
