Mrs. Sarah Sutphin Barnes, 44, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022.

Sarah was born on May 13, 1978 in Ohio a daughter of Donna Sexton George of Bostic and the late James Sutphin. She was previously worked as a day care worker and a cake decorator. Sarah was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a son, Austin Ucman.

Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband of 22 years, Steven Barnes of the home; two sons, Daniel William Barnes of Bessemer City; Nathaniel Hudson of Bostic; a grandson, Lane John Hudson; two brothers, James and Joseph Sutphin both of Bostic; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Brenda Barnes. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
