Scott Berry Hamm "Hambone", age 61, of Tot Dellinger Rd, passed away September 18, 2019 at Wendover Hospice. He was born October 1, 1957 in Gaston County to the late Boyd and Edna Galloway Hamm.

Hambone was a member of Second Baptist Church, Cherryville. He was a welder and enjoyed working with his hands, spending time with his friends, going to Ferguson Hardware and visiting Lake James. Hambone especially loved being with his family, his dogs, Emilee & Syd, and his wife, Cathey.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 32 years, Cathey Lackey Hamm; daughter, Kara Denise Beasley (Philip) of Durham; brother, Ronald Hamm (Nancy) of Waccamaw, SC; sisters, Linda Witherspoon (Yates) of Cherryville, Janet Scarborough (David) of Avon, Thelda Hamm of Lincolnton; and special grand-dog, Archie; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be 4:00 pm Saturday September 21, 2019 at Carpenter-Porter Funeral and Cremation Services with the Rev. Jerry Lail and Rev. Dennis Kuhn officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:30-3:45 pm.

Burial will be private.
