Sedahlia Lydia Willis McMurry, 95, of Lawndale, passed away Tuesday, June
13, 2017 at the home of her son in Stockbridge, GA.

Born in Cleveland County on April 21, 1922, she was a daughter of Odus
Willis and Addie Cook Willis. She was retired from Cleveland Mills and a
member of Palm Tree United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of
fifty-six years, Paul Edward McMurry; brothers, Ray Willis, Russell Willis,
Burl Willis, and an infant brother of one day; and sister, Helen Spurling.

She is survived by her three children, Doris McMurry of Plano, TX, Phillip
McMurry and wife Mary Ann of Stockbridge, GA, Stephen McMurry and wife Cindy
of Lawndale; five grandsons, Keith McMurry and wife Amber of Gainesville,
GA, Eric McMurry of Stockbridge, GA, Nathan McMurry and special friend
Summer of Lawndale, Dustin McMurry and wife Ashley of Polkville, and Zachary
McMurry of Lawndale; four great grandsons, Charlie and Silas both of
Polkville, Asher of Stockbridge, GA, and David of Gainesville, GA;
sisters-in-law, Ruth Willis of Lawndale, Ruth Moore of Lawrenceville, GA,
Jean McMurry of Mount Holly; and brother-in-law, Kenneth McMurry of
Polkville.

The family would like offer a special thank you to Mary Ann McMurry for the
loving and excellent care of Sedahlia during the last years of her life.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, Saturday, at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston. Condolences may be made online at

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, at Stamey-Tysinger
Funeral Home Chapel, Fallston with the Rev. Danny McNeilly officiating. At
other times the family will be at the home of Stephen & Cindy McMurry, 369
Warlick Road, Lawndale, NC 28090
