Selma Wall Head, 91 of 912 Jackson Street, Shelby, passed away, Friday,
December 29, 2017 at Carolinas Healthcare System-Cleveland.

Born October 6, 1926 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late
China Wall and Buner Wall Self. She was retired from Bost Bakery and was a
member of Community Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin
Coolidge Head, three brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include a son, Norris Head and wife Linda of Shelby; three
daughters, Brenda Proctor and husband Truett of Shelby, Barbara White and
husband Rick of Bessemer City and Bea Sowers and husband Gary of Gastonia;
five grandchildren, Melanie Walker, Lora Gold, Suzanne Goldberg, Amy Sponic
and Doug Morehead and three great-grandchildren, Valerie Walker, Austin
Walker, Savannah Eaton.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral
Home.

A funeral service will be 3:00 PM, Sunday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Doug Pruett officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Shelby
