| Send In Your Nominations For The 2012 Big Tree Contest |

Nominations are due by Friday, March 16, 2012, which is North Carolina Arbor Day!
Winners of the contest will be announced on SATURDAY, APRIL 28 at the Arts on the Square Festival with the Mayor presenting the awards to the winners and runners up.
This year the contest includes the GOOFIEST LOOKING TREE category (check out www.cityofshelby.com/ksb for examples of goofy looking trees). Participants can enter a nomination for the BIGGEST TREE and/or the GOOFIEST LOOKING Tree categories. Nominated trees must be located in the Shelby City limits or ETJ area. The winning trees of the 2010 and 2011 BIG TREE Contest are not eligible to be nominated.
