Sewell Contractors Honored With Duke Energy Generation Contractor Health And Safety Award

 Sewell Contractors was honored for the second year in a row with the Duke Energy Generation Contractor Health and Safety Award at the Annual Safety summit held at the Hilton in Charlotte, NC on April 27, 2010. They have been in business for 22 years right here in Shelby, NC. Ronnie Sewell is the president and his daughter Miranda Sewell Kinmon is the Vice President and Safety Director.  This award is based on their safety performance and record as well as their willingness to communicate with Duke Energy about current safety practices and help implement new ones. Sewell Contractors employs an average of 30 employees year round and specializes in Steel Fabrication, Painting, Cleaning, Local Plant Maintenance among many other specialized services.
