Sharon Martin receives Award from Lawndale Lions Club
    Sharon Martin, Community Outreach Coordinator for Hospice Cleveland County, was recently awarded the Jack Stickley Humanitarian Award from the Lawndale Branch of the North Carolina Lions Club. This award was created in honor of Jack Stickley, North Carolina’s first President of Lions Clubs International.
    North Carolina Lions Clubs works to collectively enrich the lives of those blind and visually impaired, offers needed services for those less fortunate in each community and provides a hallmark of continuous support of research for health related issues concerning vision and overall wellness of its citizens.
    The Jack Stickley Humanitarian award recognizes individuals who represent the true sense of humanitarianism by putting service before self. Sharon lives in Kingstown has been very active and shown genuine concern for the well being and happiness of the citizens in the community.
