Sheila Bivens Cook, 72 of Macedonia Church Road, Vale, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Carolina Caring in Newton.

Born in Catawba County, on August 14, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Claude Edgar Bivens and Annie Rosie Hoyle Bivens. Sheila was retired from Catawba Valley Family Medicine and was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Edward Cook.

Survivors include her daughter, Chrystal Cook Price of Granite Falls; son, Steven Cook of Hickory; granddaughter, Ashlyn Price; brother, Ricky Bivens and wife, Cynthia of Blackburn; several nieces and nephews and two fur babies, Daisy and Ellie.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 3:00pm at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeremy Mahaffey officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
