Sheila Mauney Barkley, a cherished mother, sister, and grandmother, departed from this world on February 17, 2025, at Atrium Healthcare - Cleveland.

Born on September 21, 1938, in Cleveland County, Sheila lived a vibrant life defined by love and faith.

Sheila, a proud member of Bethel Baptist Church, poured her kindness and care into every facet of her life. The same spirit of service led her to a fulfilling career at Atrium Healthcare - Cleveland, where she retired from her role as an insurance clerk.

Family was Sheila's anchor and joy. She is lovingly remembered by her two sons, Eddie Barkley and his wife Shelia of Lawndale, and Billy Barkley and Ashley of Pickens, SC; her sister, Shannon Blanton of Shelby; and her adored grandchildren, Ansley Vaughan (Casey), Andrea Blanton (Randy), Lisa Corbin (Ryan), Clint Barkley, and Mason Barkley. Sheila's legacy of love will live on in her four great grandchildren.

It is with immense gratitude for her life and legacy that we lovingly bid her farewell. Sheila is preceded in death by her parents, William Wilson Mauney and Marie Covington Mauney, but her spirit will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know her.

A private graveside will be held at Cleveland Memorial Park with Dr. Tim Sims officiating.
