Shelby Lion Named 1st Vice District Governor 2013-2014
Dave Titus
The Immediate Past-President of the Shelby Lions Club, Dave Titus, has been elected 1st Vice District Governor for Western North Carolina Lions. His election came during the Lions Cabinet Meeting held during the District Fall Convention in Asheville November 16th and 17th. Lion Dave is currently serving as Humanitarian White Cane Chairperson for District 31A.  District 31A covers Cleveland and Lincoln Counties and all points West including an additional 13 counties in North Carolina. As Humanitarian White Cane Chair, Dave is challenging the 51 clubs in Western North Carolina to raise $90,000 for state-wide humanitarian services for the blind and visually impaired population in North Carolina. Caring for the blind and working to prevent blindness are causes that Lions around the world care about.
Dave also was recognized during the Asheville Convention for his humanitarian services to North Carolina and was awarded a Jack Stickley Fellow. This is the highest honor bestowed by North Carolina Lions.
