Lion Dave Titus (left) presents a check for $1,000 to District Governor Robert Suggs.
The Shelby Lions Club presented a check for $1000 to NC Lions. The local club raised the money with its recent participation in “walk across N.C.” District Governor George Suggs of Lions District 31-A accepted the check during a recent meeting of the Shelby Club. In that same meeting he installed the officers for the coming year. Vicky Huntsinger succeeds Barbara Fitch as president. Carl Whaley became first vice president, and Gerald Weathers was installed as second vice president and Lion Tamer.  Michael Johnson is the new third vice president.  Jan Tucker and Joe Davison will continue as secretary and treasurer.  Caroline Dedmon became the first lady to serve as Tail Twister.  Darrell Jeffries,  Jim  Holland,  Annette Johnson,  and  Jim Collis were installed as directors, and Dave Titus took the duty of Membership Chairman.  Also, Lisa Carson was inducted as a new member.
